Google launches Video ads
Google has recently announced the launch of video ads for its Adwords publishers. This ad will compete on par with flash and image ads, and the Adwords advertisers can choose to bid on CPC and CPM basis.
Unlike the way you think, this is not going to start any kind of intrusive advertising, where the ad would play video whether you like it or not. It would primarily stand as a static image and would start playing only when the user initiates it.

My word of Advice'
If you are an Adwords advertiser, then keep out of using this facility for the time being. Primarily because this is a new innovative concept and might involve a lot of curiosity clicking in the initial period. The reverse logic works for Adsense publishers as targetted or not, it is bound to fetch a few clicks in the first few months.
