Adwords Video ads - A piece of advice

As I talked to you about the Video ad service that Google has now come up with , here is a piece of advice I want you to note as an Adwords advertiser.

There are two angles to look at the scene now. First thing is it is relatively difficult for each and everyone to make a video ad for their ad as of now. Combined with this is the fear to get started to a new feature. Most of you would rather wait and watch to see how successful the scheme is before making your own ad. So, if you are the kind of advertiser that already has a video ad in place, then this the time when you could make a real free entry to advertise your product. Keyword competition is going to be really low. So that you can really make an impact on the audience.

But also to note is that point I already made in the other post. Video ads are a new phenomenon. None of the online advertising agencies have so far come out or atleast made an impact so far with such an advertising format. In this scene, when the first few video ads are out, there should be a lot of curiosity clicks. Everyone would want to see how the video is made. It might have been better if Google had actually made it run inspite of the visitor clicking the play button or not. Now, since the video is made static, and plays only when the user clicks. However I am still not clear if it would cost money if the Adwords advertiser would immedately lose money when the video plays or only when the visitor decides to proceed to the site. Google should have already wisely decided for it to be the latter. But since I cannot find any explicit mention about this, I will let you know about it when Adwords replies to my query.
