Choosing the right niche - A real life experience

Sometime back, I told you about this website called SelfSeo which helps you to look at the number of pages indexed by each Search Engine for each of the websites. This website gave me a blunt truth about how the niche actually determines the traffic you get.

Choose a popular niche only if you have the stuff to build a huge website of 30K odd pages. If you don't, then go for the really deep down niches which is not that targetted. I just had a look at one blog called exgfproject( Ex-Girlfriend Project), not a topic many actually discuss about. This blog has around 55 odd pages built, and still attracts around 100 unique visitors per day.

Website traffic might not be the blogger's primary concern and he is only writing for passion as most bloggers do. But then, there is a lesson to be learnt by all of us, and that is about how to choose the right niche to get the maximum traffic.
