Multiple language websites

If your content is universal in nature, chances are that there might be as many visitors from non-English countries as are visitors who understand English. So, it is definitely a business opportunity to translate your website into multiple languages so that you can generate traffic from these parts of the world too.

You could start out by making an analysis of the traffic that you actually get from these places. Start off with the languages of the countries that you get most of the traffic from. It does not naturally make sense to translate the page into all languages that you know since visitors from that particular vernacular community might not ultimately number high enough to be worth the effect.

One piece of advise is that you translate your website into other languages only if you know the language yourself or you can get someone who knows the language to do the work. Use of translator softwares is strictly unadvisable since most times, these softwares only translate the words. The grammar often goes haywire, and the least you would want is to dilute the popularity of your website by presenting content with a non-sensical language.
