Your site not indexed yet?

I have never submitted my website to the Google search indexes. Since, they are all content sites, I easily manage to get a few links from some of the other moderately ranking site. And this automatically gets my site indexed in quite a small time. Though the time actually depends on the PageRank of the linking website, it may so happen that sometimes Google tests your patience by not indexing your website even after quite a considerable amount of time.

With Google Base, there is a way to circumvent this problem. Google Base, which is still in the beta version is one place for you to upload your messages, files,music etc for immediate display in the searches. This includes wanted ads, reviews etc. But, it is also possible for you to upload content that can point to your website.

Google Base terms and conditions point to several Dos and Don'ts. You need to post a little bit of content relevant to your niche and then provide your URL for more info. This will get you traffic from those who come across these info. This can be one way to keep getting a little traffic till your website gets indexed. Infact, posting in Google Base itself gets your site an opportunity to get indexed faster. I found the following lines on their Terms pages.

You agree to comply with the then-current specifications provided by Google to enable proper delivery and display of the Content. If the Content submitted via the Bulk Upload contains URLs (or equivalent thereof) that you are submitting to Google, you agree that Google has the right to access, index, cache or crawl the URL(s) (or equivalent thereof), the Content itself, or any portion thereof (without regard to any robots.txt file which does not authorize crawling) in connection with Google's authorized use of the Content.
