Google trends

Google trends is a new software released by google to look where various keywords have predominantly been searched from. This software is available at http://www.google.com/trends

As a webmaster, you can use it to look at who is most likely to visit your websites. For example, a search on "Webmaster" has been searched highly from France. This gives you an idea of how effective it would be if you wrote your website in French or atleast translated it to one.

But, the software is still incapable of providing answers to deeper niche keywords. And as of now, it is only helpful for a superficial idea based on the broadest keywords.
