Huge traffic, Low Adsense earnings

New webmasters with a passion for writing, often start out building a website for themselves without looking at the monetary aspect of building website. But as and when they get to know that this is a huge money making opportunity, they soon sign up for Adsense expecting their traffic to convert into money. But sadly that sometimes does not happen.

This is because, the traffic that you build from writing more and more content is primarily through search engines. And this traffic is highly targetted in what they are looking for and if the content they are looking for is not available, they are more likeyl to go back to the search engine and look at another link.

With this kind of a traffic, your site's money making aspect depends hugely on what you are writing about, in terms of Adsense. Because, if you are writing about,say diet requirements for yoga, Adsense would not get you that many clicks. But someone who writes on props for Yoga is likely to get more clicks on his ads as people are in a much more spending mode.

In such a case, it is better for you to look at the other options available for making money. You need not tune your content to suit your money making. Rather change the ads that provide you an incentive for getting that huge traffic. This could include websites that pay you on the basis of CPM (Number of impressions), Text-Link-Ads.In short, any mode which gives significance to your traffic rather than your Click through rates.
